There's something about snapping turtles that makes them look ancient, like they've seen a few things and aren't in much of a hurry to impress.

He was crossing the road one slow step at a time, carrying his home on his back. When I got close, he stopped long enough for me to lay down in the road and capture this shot.

The band Alabama once sang, "I'm in a hurry to get things done, I rush and rush until life's no fun."

This old turtle seemed to have learned the lesson we can all struggle with at times.  Life isn't always about speed. Sometimes it's simply about continuing the journey one intentional, steady step at a time.
